How To Measure Your Bra Size

How To Measure Your Bra Size

Sizing is the single biggest reason a bra feels wrong, and it is the easiest thing to fix. All you need is a soft tape measure and five minutes.

Measure your band

Wrap the tape directly under your bust, level all the way round, and pull it snug. Breathe out and read the number in centimetres. This is your band size.

Measure your bust

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level and loose enough not to compress anything. Read the number.

Work out the cup

Subtract the band from the bust. Each 2.5 cm of difference is one cup size: roughly 2.5 cm is an A, 5 cm a B, 7.5 cm a C, and so on up.

Check the fit

  • The band should sit level and take most of the weight — if it rides up at the back, go down a band and up a cup.
  • The centre panel should lie flat against your sternum.
  • No spilling at the top of the cup, no gaping at the edge.
