Push-up Bras vs. Padded Bras: What's the Difference?

Push-up Bras vs. Padded Bras: What's the Difference?

The two words get used interchangeably in product listings, which is why people end up with the wrong one.

Padded

Padding is a layer of foam moulded through the whole cup. It gives an even shape, smooths the line under a top, and adds coverage. It does not lift.

Push-up

A push-up bra is padded too, but the padding is angled and concentrated at the bottom and outer edge of the cup, pushing the bust up and inward.

Which to choose

Want a smooth, natural shape? Padded. Want visible lift and more cleavage? Push-up.
